Moyra’s art is an inspiring modern blend of surrealism and expressionism and celebrates the potent nuances of the female body. This series uses an eclectic range geometry and a vivid color spectrum to emphasize or separate femininity from the world around it. Using cell phone photos as references, her work interrogates the contrast between idolized depictions of Self to be consumed online and the unfiltered, personal relationship to one’s own body. Having worked as a model, her artistic practices reclaims her appearance, used as a vessel to sell products, into a foundation for sincere self-expression.
